no one alone campaign - 2023
“You are not alone in your struggles.”
A recent survey found that 61% of American adults feel lonely. When folks like Jane come to Atlas Lincoln, they express these feelings as they strive to overcome life-altering struggles. Jane has had very few positive relationships and support in her life. She lived abandoned by family and others who should have supported her. Her challenge now is trust as she works her way back into the community.
Jane struggles with the relational distance between her and her case workers, counselors, and other professionals. Atlas: Lincoln works with people like Jane and walks by their side to support her through relationships as she navigates the complex services in the community.
How do your gifts make a difference to people like Jane? As a first step, everyone who comes to Atlas for help is a mentee, not a case file number. Each mentee has inherent dignity and value as a person – just as Christ considers each of us as a person of worth.
An Atlas mentor connects every week for at least an hour – modeling Christ’s present love in their life. We walk side-by-side with every person we meet, showing them love, encouragement and support. By supporting Atlas with a gift, you are part of the healing process.
No one in my life had ever told me I could be something and that I could be helpful. Atlas helped me believe the things that God says about us in the Bible. That I am loved, that I am worthy, that I can be a disciple. That I can make it, and my bad can be used for good.
Jane, an Atlas mentee.
You can be the final link in the chain of support for people like Jane. Give to Atlas Lincoln today – and know you are a friend to someone who strives for relationship in the midst of loneliness.
